Of the 17 governors of the state in Northern Nigeria, only 2 would fight sincerely in their domain.
A former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, said this Friday, while praising the two governors.
Some governors in the protectorate have praised or supported by their actions that insecurity is destroying their domain. Instead of dealing with the criminals who are terrorizing their environment, they have identified with them and, at some points, offered the criminals money to soften their activities.
The incumbent governors of the states of Kaduna and Katsina, Nasir El-rufai and Aminu Masari are some examples that want to mention POLICY TODAY in this report.
The former Aviation Minister and a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have named Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State and Babagana Zulum of Borno as state governors who deserve praise.
TODAY POLITICS has commented that since the duo took over the affairs of their respective states last year, they have worked all day long to ensure that they kick insecurity in their domains.
“There are 2 core northern governors who have fought the rebels and terrorists with all their heart,” Fani-Kayode said in a tweet on Friday.
“They are Gov. Matawale from Zamfara & Gov. Zulum van Borno. They are fully committed to the war on terror and their zeal to protect and defend their people is commendable, “the former minister added.
Insecurity has especially increased in the northern protectorate and President Muhammadu Buhari during his recent condolence visit to the state of Borno, said that criminal activities in a domain can in no way thrive if residents of the area know and support it.
