Police in Rivers State said Wednesday that at least 25 children and six pregnant women have been rescued from a baby factory in Rivers State,
The state police command spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni, said the development followed the Tuesday offensive launched by the E-Crack Team of command against the baby trade syndicate operating in Oyigbo and Trans Amadi in the Port Harcourt metropolis.
He said: “After intelligence reports, our men discovered a baby factory and rescued 25 children and six pregnant women with some other suspects who were believed to own the place.
They are at the police station in Mile 1. “He said the police movements had started to track down the other members of the gang.
