A 45-year-old man identified as Onyebuchi Ashiema is reportedly beaten to death for misplacing his car in a street in the Igboukwu community of the local government area of ​​Aguata in Anambra.

Ashiema is said to have been attacked by a 36-year-old man, an Evans Obuneme Nsoani, after both arguing about a wrongly parked vehicle.

The deceased was allegedly taken to the hospital, but died later as a result of internal injury caused by beating.

Anambra State Police Command spokesman, SP Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident and said the Nsoani attacker has been arrested by the Igboukwu police division and is currently being detained.

Haruna said:

“An Evans Obuneme Nsoani of 36 years old was arrested on 20/2/2020 at approximately 10:37 am by detectives from the Igboukwu division.

“On 18/2/2020 around 10 p.m., Defendant had attacked an Onyebuchi Ashiema ‘m’ of approximately 45 years of Nsukka but lives in Ngo, Igboukwu in the state of Anambra, on a” wrongly parked vehicle “on the highway.

“As a result, the victim allegedly suffering mistreatment of the suspect was rushed to the hospital and later confirmed dead by a doctor.

“Post-mortem investigation showed that the victim died due to internal injury he sustained after the attack.”

Haruna said the deceased was deposited with Dr. Nlogha Memorial Hospital, Uwani, Enugu for autopsy and that the case was investigated at State CID Awka, after which the suspect would be prosecuted.

In the meantime, a man, pastor Richard Ifeanyi Obi, who came to Awka from Warri in Delta State to hold liberation prayer for a family, died in his sleep.
