The Supreme Court has rejected a request to revise the judgment that dismissed the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in the state of Bayelsa, David Lyon and his deputy, Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo.
According to justice Amina Augie, who read the verdict Wednesday, the request was missing and the court decisions are final.
She added that the applicants did not point to errors and stated that the judgment was final for all ages.
The top judge said the verdict is final in the ‘real sense’ and no court on earth can revise the verdict.
“The lawsuit must end, even if we revise this judgment, any dissatisfied lawsuit will make similar applications and the final decisions of the Supreme Court will be lost.”
She added that the applications are frivolous and vexatory and has allocated the costs of N10 million to the applicants for personal payment by their lawyer.
Justice Augie added that the counselors of the APC and Mr. Lyon each pay Governor Douye Diri, his deputy Mr. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and the PDP the same N10 million.
