Good Times’ actress Ja’net Dubois died at the age of 74.
Dubois reportedly died unexpectedly in her sleep at night. According to TMZ, she was found dead Tuesday morning February 18 in her house in Glendale.
The actress / singer played in the CBS sitcom “Good Times” from 1974 to 1979 as Willona Woods, the neighbor of the Evans family. She subsequently appeared in a number of film and TV projects, including the expression of one of the main characters in the animated series ‘The PJs’.
Dubois’ work on ‘The PJs’ earned her two Emmies for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance in 1999 and 2001. She also earned an NAACP Image Award nomination in 1998 for a guest appearance on’ Touched by an Angel ‘.
In addition to acting, Dubois also wrote and sang the theme song “Jeffersons”, “Movin’ on Up “.
