President Buhari Tests Negative To Coronavirus As His Chief Of Staff, Abba Kyari, Tests Positive

President Buhari has reportedly tested negative for Coronavirus, as his chief of staff, Abba Kyari, has reportedly tested positive for the vrius.


According to Thisday, presidential sources say the test was necessary for the president after his chief of staff, Mr. Abba Kyari, tested positive on Monday. Kyari had traveled to Germany on Saturday March 7 to meet Siemens officials in Munich for the Nigerian electricity expansion program. He returned exactly a week later on Saturday March 14, but showed no symptoms.

He is said to have held a meeting on Sunday, March 22, to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria, where he reportedly began to cough. He then volunteered for testing and was notified of his status yesterday.

However, Kyari has gone into absolute isolation after the test result. He is said to be healthy and hearty, with no symptoms except occasional coughing.
