The All Progressive Congress (APC), Lagos State Chapter, has responded to the re-election of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in Saturday’s governmental poll in the state.
The Lagos APC said on Sunday in a statement from its spokesman, Mr Seye Oladejo, that Akeredolu’s victory was a referendum on his performance in his first term.
Lagos State APC would like to congratulate Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on his re-election as Executive Governor of Ondo State.
“The victory is a referendum on his outstanding performance in the first semester in honor and appreciation of the good people of Ondo State, but to the dismay and dismay of his political opponents.
“His win is further testimony to Ondo State as a progressive that deserves and deserves good governance,” said Oladejo.
According to him, the majority of Akeredolu in the poll is challenging to build on his past achievements and meet the desires of the people.
He said the ruling APC’s victory showed that the opposition was not a party when the party had all the hands on deck to work for the general good of the party.
‘It reinforces our belief that the loss of Edo State was a goal of our own that cannot be saved in the near future.
Likewise, we congratulate Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, who, as Chairman of the Ondo State Campaign Council for Governorship election, brought his Midas touch to ensure the desired outcome.
“Hopefully, the governance that has literally come to a standstill in the opposition PDP states due to their governors’ desperation to win victory in APC states will now be graciously resumed,” he said.
The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) on Sunday declared APC’s candidate, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the winner of the Ondo governmental election.
Akeredolu received a total of 292,830 votes to defeat his closest rival, Eyitayo Jegede, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who took 195,791 votes.
